2020	A	Prof. E.F. Bartholomeusz Endowment award for best mathematical thesis project of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya (413 students). Read more This award was given for our work on Low light images.

2019	E	Huawei Seeds for the Future: Selected to top 10 CS/IT/CE undergraduates of the country in terms of academic merit to participate in the program. 2019	A	Dialog Axiata Datathon – first data science hackathon in SL on smart city planing (for students and data science professionals). Best data engineer award. Team: Pankayaraj Pathmanathan Dhanushki Mapitigama Mabeesha Wijekoon Tharsanan Kurukulasingam Gihan Jayatilaka The event was held in Water’s edge, Colombo during (2-4)/8/2019 with the participation of 100 individuals: 20 teams consisting of data science industry professionals and university students. The participants for the event have been selected based on an online questionnaire on data science basics, and the teams have been formed arbitrarily from the selected participants. 2016	D	ACES Hackathon 2016: Project Motify: Software section winners, Most popular idea of the competition. Read more May 2016, ACES Association of Computer Engineering Students, University Of Peradeniya ACES Hackathon has proven to be a well-established and perfectly-organized event aiming to bring together large number of undergraduates and engage them into the development of creative and innovative IT solutions.
